Glossybox September 2013

24 September 2013

The September Glossybox is 'The London Edition' which is a celebration of London Fashion Week. First of all, I loved the Union Jack box and the cute tissue paper. The box will join my ever growing tower of empty Glossyboxes as I can't bear to throw them away!

This month was also the introduction of the new GB Mag. It's a cute little glossy magazine containing interviews with fashion and beauty experts, the latest trends and must-have products. I like it. It's a nice little addition that I can flick through when I have a minute to sit down with a coffee.

Anyway, shall we take a peek inside and see if the contents are as good as the box?

Elizabeth Arden, Untold {sample size} // Even though this is a sample size it comes is a beautiful glass bottle which is a miniature of the full size one. It's a lovely elegant bottle with a beautiful scent to match. I'm rubbish at describing smells so here is how they describe it... "A luxurious and modern floral fragrance... Untold's sparkling and fruity introduction, radiant, floral heart and mysterious addictive warmth captures femininity in a bottle." I love it!
Full size rice £48 for 50ml, £69 for 100ml

Eyelure, Pre-Glued Lashes {full size } // I love false lashes but don't wear them very often. I usually save them for special occasions {of which I don't have many} but I can't wait to try them out when I have a night out next month. They're very natural looking and it sounds like they're easy to use as they're pre-glued, so no messing or waiting for the glue to go tacky.
One set £5.06

Toni & Guy, Hair Meet Wardrobe Classic Shine & Gloss Serum {full size} // An interesting product as I'm the queen of frizz! I straighten my naturally curly hair or or else it turns into a big frizz ball. They say to use on blow dried hair and work through the lengths to ends to controls frizz with lightweight shine. I does what it says but didn't blow me away and it's no better or worse than any other similar product I've used. I will use it but probably wouldn't repurchase.
Full size price £7.19

Be A Bombshell Cosmetics, Onyx Eye Liner {full size} // In addition to being the queen of frizz, I'm also the queen on eye liner! This a felt tip type liner with a really thin tip so you can control and vary the thickness of the line. I liked that it's easy to use, goes on smoothly and that it lasted really well. But I won't be replacing my beloved Rimmel Exaggerate Eye Liner that I've used for years... it doesn't even come close.
Full size price $14

HD Brows, Bronzer {full size} // Be still my beating heart! I almost jumped for joy when I saw this in my box! And it didn't disappoint either. It's finely milled so you only need a tiny bit on your brush but it blends like a dream and gives a really natural sun-kissed glow, even on my fair skin. Love love love it.
Full size price £19.95

This is my favourite box yet, by a mile. Mine was predominantly make-up products which suits me down to the ground. This seems to be the general consensus on beauty blogs and Instagram so take note Glossybox! Make-up products equals happy ladies.

So what do you think? What did you get in your Glossybox this month?

  1. I got exactly the same box as you this month and was equally as thrilled as you were. All of the items were fantastic. I have already bought another HD Brows product, as I have Eyelure (which is impressive given I hate wearing false lashes!).

If you are interested on my take on the box it is here

Definitely one of the best so far.
