2012... Our Fabulous Year

3 January 2013

Goodbye 2012... Hello 2013!

In keeping with the previous four New Years eve's I was asleep when the clock struck midnight. I'm not one for really celebrating the New Year {much to Hubby's disappointment cause he loves it} but I love to look back and remember the highs {and lows} of the past year. This is when my blog comes in really handy!

First off, January was Oliver's 3rd birthday. And now he's only days away from his 4th birthday... where does the time go?

In February Lydia had a short stay in hospital with a really bad sickness bug which was just awful but she made a really quick recovery. February was also when I started my blog!

March... I had a lovely Mothers day and was thoroughly spoiled.

In April we went to Cbeebies Live. We loved it so much that I've already booked to go in April this year and it'll be even better because Lydia is old enough to come.

May was our little holiday in Great Yarmouth. The weather was terrible but we still had a fabulous time and we didn't want to go home.

We all had a fantastic time at the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations in June.

Followed by the opportunity of a lifetime seeing the Olympic Torch... even though my photos were so terrible I had to actually point out the torch!

July saw us making the most of the only day of sunshine all summer {well that's what it felt like!} with a picnic and paddling in our beautiful local park.

It was also my niece Chloe's christening in July, which was such a lovely day.

August was a brilliant month for days out. We had fun at Pugneys Country Park...

Knowsley Safari Park was fantastic, especially when the monkeys climbed all over our car!

And we enjoyed an incredibly hot and sunny day in Blackpool.

In September the most important event was Oliver starting nursery. My little boy is growing up too fast!

We had another wonderful day out in September at St Leonards Farm.

I made myself this Smarties & chocolate fingers cake for my birthday in October.

In November we kicked off the countdown to Christmas with Santa's reindeer parade through our village.

Only 3 weeks ago in December it was Lydia's 2nd birthday.

And of course we had the most brilliant Christmas ever!

2012 was a brilliant year. Here's hoping that 2013 is just as good... or even better!
